The Process to Download and Print Adhaar Card

In case there’s any discrepancy in information, you need to visit your nearest Aadhaar center with the original documents to get them corrected.

  • Aadhaar card download via mobile number

You can also download your e-Aadhaar card through your mobile number. Here’s how it does –

Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website and hit on ‘Retrieve lost UID’ option

Step 2: The redirected page will ask for your registered mobile number and email ID which were provided earlier in the enrolment process.

Step 3: Once you have entered the details, you will be asked to put the OTP generated in your mobile number.

Step 4: You will receive a UID.

Now that you’ve to generate your eAadhaar card using that enrolment number, follow the Aadhaar card download process as previously mentioned.

How to take out an Aadhaar card printout?

Once you’ve downloaded your eAadhaar card, a PDF file will be automatically generated. This file is password encrypted. The password for opening the eAadhaar PDF is the first 4 letters of your name in capital letters, followed by your year of birth.

For instance, if your name is Ramesh Mehta and your birth year is 1980 – then your eAadhaar password is RAME1980. Once you have entered the appropriate password, only then the PDF file will open. Now, follow the standard printout process to print your Aadhaar card.
