For Sound, Peaceful And Affordable Sleep – Go For The Factory Mattresses

The concept of mattresses has been around for approximately 77,000 years. The ancient mattresses would usually be made of natural materials such as horse hair, straw or feathers. Mattresses have improved by a great factor over these thousands of years, with the sole aim of getting a good night’s sleep after a hard day’s work. Nowadays, with the progression in technology, mattresses are manufactured in bulk in factories with the help of machines. These factory mattresses are produced with utmost precision giving the ultimate comfort to the consumers.

Factory Mattresses

Why factory mattresses?

Before the manifestation of factory mattresses, mattresses were hand-made by mattress manufacturers. There were several disadvantages of this process, such as:

  • Time – Humans cannot work as fast as machines. The time taken for a group of workers to manufacture a mattress would be much greater than the time taken to manufacture a factory mattress.
  • Quality – Two hand-made mattresses will never be identical, but two factory mattresses will be very much similar, thus helping in quality control.
  • Cost – With the involvement of machines, less manpower is required, resulting in cheaper costs without compromising on quality.

How are factory mattresses made?

The art of mattress-making hasn’t changed much in the last few decades. Yes, the core materials and linings have definitely improved, but the techniques remain the same. The only advantage being that instead of humans doing all the work, the bulk of the work is now done by machines. This results in improved quality and faster delivery.

Factory Mattresses

A factory mattress can be of the following types

  • Innerspring Mattresses – These are the most affordable type of mattresses. These are made up of steel coils of different sizes and shapes. These wear out faster and do result in squeakiness of the mattresses with time.
  • Foam Mattresses – There are different kinds of foam in today’s market, and the cost of the mattress depends on the type of foam used to make it. For instance, a mattress made of memory foam will be significantly more affluent than a mattress made of some cheaper petrochemical-based foam. The advantage of using foam is that it provides uniform support throughout the entire mattress. Memory foam itself is quite useful for relieving pain and proper alignment of one’s spine. Foam mattresses have the disadvantage of getting hotter since foam traps heat. To overcome this issue, usually, some form of gel is infused with the foam which helps in absorbing the heat from the mattress.
  • Latex Mattresses – These are more durable than foam-based mattresses and are bouncier. Latex mattresses also have some pain-relieving properties like memory foam, but not as good as memory foam.
  • Hybrid Mattresses – A hybrid mattress combines the good features of an innerspring mattress and a foam mattress. A hybrid mattress has the bounciness of an innerspring mattress, while still retaining the medical benefits of a memory foam/latex mattress. These are more expensive than the other types but are definitely more comfortable. These can also be custom-made, tailored to your personal preferences.

Should you get a factory mattress?

Life has become a rat-race. People are working 10-12 hours a day and going back home exhausted, both mentally and physically. Everyday it is the same routine, and it takes a definite toll on the human body. Even machines are required to be restarted once in a while, let alone the human body. So, after a long and hectic day, what you need is a deep good night’s sleep. Invest in a good factory mattress, and you will be able to feel the difference when you wake up every morning.
