A can complete a piece of work in 12 days, while B can complete the same work in 18 days. In how many days will they finish the work together?
Solution: A’s work per day = 1/12, B’s work per day = 1/18. Combined work per day = 1/12 + 1/18 = 5/36. Therefore, they will finish the work together in 36/5 = 7.2 days.
