Vegas Bucket List: What to Do When You Visit Vegas

Are you planning to visit the famous Las Vegas sometime soon? Then you’re in for a big treat. This glittering city is full of marvelous fun and a ton of entertainment, and even the most adventurous of travelers will be able to sate their wanderlust here. Despite the popular image of the city, there’s a lot more to it than expensive hotels and casinos, so if you’re wondering what kind of attractions you can find there, we’re here to tell you. For those who want to know what to see and where to go in the Sin City, here’s a handy little list to help you plan your itinerary.

Attend a booze-tasting event

There are actually several events of this kind you can partake in, and which one you pick depends on your taste in alcohol. Great Vegas Festival of Beer by Motley Brews is one of the most famous events that any beer lover will enjoy, but if you’re more into wine and spirits, you can try the UNLVino event which also introduces you to food from some of Las Vegas’ best restaurants. Have a fun museum visit

Las Vegas has plenty of museums, but the one that you definitely wouldn’t want to miss is The Mob Museum in Downtown, which gives you a deep insight right into the history of organized crime in America and lets you learn about some of their greatest masterminds. From a St. Valentine’s Day Massacre exhibit to educational tidbits about how law enforcement used to tackle problems with the mob, it’s a very interesting, unusual museum that’s bound to be unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Several ways to relax

The bar scene here is pretty spectacular, and it’s very easy to find excellent spots if you just want to chill out and have a few drinks. Dino’s Lounge offers both great beer and karaoke entertainment, and Peppermill’s Fireside Lounge offers a great disco experience. Of course, since marijuana is legal here, another great way to relax is to simply smoke a joint. There are medical marijuana Las Vegas dispensaries that you can visit to get what you need, and recreational marijuana is also allowed as long as you consume it on private property.

Race a supercar

Head straight for Las Vegas Motor Speedway if you want to live out your race car dreams, and pick a nice, sleek Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Porsche to drive. Pay for a lap or two and call the Speedway in advance, and they’ll come to pick you up in a limo and take you to your rented car, so you can take it for a fast-paced spin.

Get hitched

Hey, it’s a classic, and it’s actually a really fun thing to do. If you want to get married, Vegas is a very entertaining way to go about it, especially because you can pick an Elvis lookalike as you minister.

Visit an art gallery

Back in 2013, the When Life is Beautiful launched in Downtown Las Vegas and talented artists and muralist came to paint the street walls of the city with their lively ideas. This outdoor gallery is so full of vivid imagery and raw, honest emotion that you simply can’t miss it. More images get added every year, so taking a stroll through Downtown is now an even better experience.

Go hiking

The Sin City is actually far more than a shimmering mass of buildings—it’s surrounded by canyons and mountains that offer some great hiking opportunities, so if you’re a nature enthusiast, you can definitely find your fun here. The Red Rock National Conservation area is a great destination if you want to look at beautiful red cliffs, or Mt. Charleston if you’re looking for more of a challenge.

Relax at a spa

A perfect thing to do after a night of partying, a long, luxurious spa stay is just what you need to rejuvenate your spirits. The Mandarin Oriental should be your first pick if you want to try an excellent foot treatment coupled with a massage, and if you want a unique atmosphere and a hot stone massage try Sahra Spa & Hammam at the Cosmopolitan.

Finally, hit the casinos

Of course, we’re ending this list with the casino experience! Even if you’re not much of a gambler, you can still place a bet at one of the most renowned casinos in the world—Caesars Palace. Coupled with Bellagio, it will let you fully experience the charm and splendor of Las Vegas and maybe even win a few coins!

Enjoy the spectacle and find your favorite spot in Sin City! There’s so much to do that you definitely won’t lack for entertainment, so embrace the full experience.
